The Fire (Full) by Nate Pfeil

Hey all!
Here is an EXTREMELY powerful message that I was recently made aware of thanks to Hillary.  This is the first time I have heard teaching from Nate Pfeil, but I can guarentee that I will look for him again in the future.  I’ll let the message speak for itself, but I would encourage you to do two things.
1) Watch the full message (it’s only 12:06 long), meditate on it and pray, and then examine your own life in light of what you have just heard.
2) Keep in mind that this is a short message.  You can’t explore the full scope of theological truth in a message of this length and still be substantive, so try to show grace in recognizing that there are things he isn’t able to explore in this message.  That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t say them if you sat under his teaching most frequently.  🙂

As I listen to this message, a passage that keeps coming to mind is Acts 20:24-26, which says…
24“But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.

25“And now, behold, I know that all of you, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, will no longer see my face.

26“Therefore, I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men.”

Have you or do you you really love all mankind enough to preach the true Gospel with boldness?  Even when it means sacrificing your wants and desires, and men mock, ridicule, and persocute you?  Are you innocent of the blood of all men?

If you have any thoughts to share, assents or concerns to voice, please leave a comment and share them with me. 🙂

God bless and veritis supra omnis!

  1. Wow. That’s pretty much all I can say. Thank you Mark (and Hills). 🙂

  2. This made people sooo mad when I passed it on without even saying anything. 🙂

  3. Well, at least the Acts passage above applies to you in this instance. 🙂 I added the two disclaimers before the message to help mollify potential objects to the message, and help it to be understood for what it is.

  4. My mom and I watched this a few weeks ago. And it really seemed to hit a nerve with me. He talks so deeply about how just being ‘Christians’ isn’t always enough. To just believe that God sent HIS son to die for us, isn’t enough to get us into Heaven.

It was awesome to watch this for a second time.
    Thank you for sharing it!

    God Bless

  5. I *just* remembered this video today so went back to find it here and saw your comment. And then posted the video on my blog. At one of the churches I’ve been attending, the pastors used to preach a lot of truth in many ways, but over the past year they’ve begun to preach a false Gospel. And I’ve seen some really clear indications that my friends’ souls may very well be in danger. This video went perfectly with it so I may send it to some people in a last effort. Thus far, I’ve been sharing the Gospel with the pastors and leaders and my friends, via a conversation or letter depending on the person, basing it completely on the Bible rather than what anyone else said, and listening to what they believe then providing Scripture in response and asking questions to try and show them how American Christianity and what they’ve been told or taught doesn’t line up with historic and Biblical Christianity and what God asks of us and says in the Bible. It’s heartrending. But to love God and them… there’s nothing else I can do. I’m praying God will show each and every one of us how we are to be able to say what Paul said in that portion of Acts every day.

  6. P.S. Check out my last four blog entries…
